Department of Applied Science and Humanities of the institute extends a vital and unwavering didactic support to all the core branches/departments. Engineering education at undergraduate level will lose significance, if in its curriculum is not included the subjects of core and basic science and to some extent social science. Without the clearer understanding of the concepts of physics, chemistry, mathematics, engineering subjects cannot be understood well. And for assimilating all these, students need to have a sound knowledge of language. To excel in the field of engineering, possession of communication as well as overall personality traits apart from the core skills is the need of the hour for which is required the support of social science and humanities.

The department at present extends teaching-learning facilities of physics, chemistry, mathematics, management, English.
